If you’re going through a difficult time, counselling can help. Counselling provides a safe and confidential space to explore thoughts, feelings and life challenges.
Working with a counsellor can help you find some new coping strategies and to make some positive changes in your life.
If you have any questions about the counselling process, or what to expect from counselling, please feel free to get in touch with Ceit directly.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)
EMDR is a structured psychotherapy approach recommended by WHO (World Health Organisation) in trauma recovery and for those diagnosed with PTSD.
It’s an 8-phase, evidence-based approach in helping those who have experienced a single traumatic event, or multiple traumas.
You can read more about EMDR here.
EMDR Group Therapy
Ceit is pleased to be co-facilitating therapy groups using the evidence-based EMDR group format, G-TEP (Group Traumatic Episode Protocol). These are groups for 4-10 participants. For more information, or if you are interested in privately hosting a group, please contact Ceit directly, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are a survivor of sexual trauma, you may be eligible for therapy under ACC Sensitive Claims. Ceit is a contracted ACC-ISSC provider to provide therapy to survivors of sexual trauma.
Many employers offer short-term counselling to employees. Ceit is contracted to EAPWorks and Vitae to provide EAP counselling. If you aren’t sure if your employer offers EAP, you can contact HR.
